Dispensary Closure


Please be aware that the Dispensary will be closed on the 8th August 2018 from 10:30am - 11:30am. We apologise for any inconvenience that this may cause.

Contraception

 We offer a variety of contraceptive methods. If you would like contraceptive advice please book an appointment to speak with one of our clinicians.

 We have regular procedure clinics for a range of contraceptive methods. Please call 01945 660460 to book in or speak to Reception in house.

 

Procedure clinic contraceptives include:


- The Implant - Nexplanon: Over 99% effective, a flexible progesterone only releasing rod, inserted underskin on the inside of the upper arm. Click for more information

- Intrauterine System (IUS): Around 99% effective,  small plastic T-shaped levonorgestrel containing device, inserted into the womb like the contraception coil. Click for more information

- Intrauterine Device (IUD): Over 99% effective, copper contraceptive device, inserted into the womb, lasting 5-10 years.

- Contraceptive Injection -  Depo-provera: 99% effective, creates  a reservoir of medroxyprogesterone continuously released into the bloodstream. Given in the muscle of the buttock or upper arm every 12 weeks. Click for more information
