NHS health checks are available every five years to people aged between 40 and 74. The purpose of a Health Check is to check both circulatory and vascular health in order to detect potential problems before they can cause damage. These problems include type 2 Diabetes, kidney disease and heart disease.
An NHS health check consists of measuring your height and weight, asking questions surrounding your family history, checking your cholesterol/blood pressure and asking some simple lifestyle questions.
The health checks are carried out by our Healthcare Assistants. If you think you may be eligible for an NHS health check, please call us on 01945 660460 or visit our reception.

From Friday 7th June 2024, North Brink Practice will be implementing a new and convenient call back option for patients to use. If the queue is busy and you are unable to wait then there will be an option for you to select to request a call back. Your position in the queue will remain and as soon as a call centre operative is available, the telephone system will reconnect your call.
We are hoping that this new functionality will make it easier and more convenient for patients to contact us via telephone and we look forward to hearing your thoughts on this new system.
